Travelling Boob Flashback

We are spending the next two weeks aboard our yacht soaking up the sunshine and recharging batteries. Even though we have spent a few days here and there since our return last year it isn’t the same as travelling. Even this time which is away from our home port is not quite the same. I find myself reminiscing about our adventure.

In the Dark

A few months ago, when it was warmer, I was sunbathing on the front deck as we sailed to Moreton Island. A friend, we shall call him the Party Boat Man, went past with a raging party happening on deck. Most of the party people were young men. I covered up because I didn’t really want THAT much attention but as they went past I saw Party Boat Man on deck and I flashed him.

Honestly, I didn’t think it was that much of a big deal. But apparently it was. He didn’t believe that these boobs are completely natural and surgically unaltered. It has become a bit of a thing. Yesterday we saw him in the distance and there was a flurry of text messages with a few moments of him trying to chase us down to get another flash.

Then at 1.30am I get a message; “Titties??” In the dark I took this shot.

I was surprised at how well it came out given I had no idea what the camera was seeing.

Of course he was not happy with just one but that is a story for another day.

Let There be Boobs

I never considered myself an erotic photographer. I avoided the temptation to post in Sinful Sunday for the longest time. Mostly because I didn’t think I was capable of creating images that were worthy and I don’t consider myself a photographer. Then #travellingboob happened. I am unashamed to say I am proud of my boobs. They are completely natural and as Mrs Fix It observed about my nipples recently “you can dial a phone with those puppies!” So I am kind of keen to be part of Boobday. I am not promising artsy shots. But there will be boobs. And below is my first entry.

Boob Day

Neckline

Mr. Jones is not that in to lingerie. He does however have a slight obsession with hoodies. It did take me several years to come around to this (weird Catholic upbringing and some fixed stereotype ideas) but these days I have quite a few. My latest one, purchased just before we left on this trip fits all the criteria. Soft, white, not too thick. As we were driving through some spectacular scenery yesterday I quizzed Mr. Jones about what aspects he found the most visually appealing. He found it hard to explain completely but he said mostly how the neckline falls.

We then spent some time on a relatively cool and rainy Cairns evening with the selfie stand and this is the result. I hope you all enjoy.

I know that Sinful Sinful Sunday is about one image but I really couldn’t decide.

Which one do you prefer?

Travelling Boobs

During the first week of our travels I was mucking around with a selfie stick and snapped a shot of my boob with the ancient sand dunes of Rainbow Beach in the background. I posted it on Twitter without a second thought. I am not one for accumulating likes and re-tweets so I never think about what I share too much I just put it there and let the universe enjoy or pass it by.

Later that night I noticed a huge number (for me) of likes and the travelling boob was born. Since then I have posted several more images of my boobs in various iconic and spectacular places. When Molly announced the prompt for this month I knew I wanted to try and make a triptych in a more or less traditional style. Not being entirely tech savvy has let me down a bit but here is my effort!

For the record the three locations featured from left to right are; Brampton Island, Great Keppel Island and Whitsunday mountain.
